Custom Tubular and Rolled Metal Products ~ Lock Seam Metal Fabrication
Our locked seam product is a cost effective option for tubular products that have some of the following requirements/specifications:
- Unique (Straight) Tubular Shapes
- Vents / Holes / Punch-outs / Embossments
- Material thickness range of ½ to 16ga
- Repeating production run / releases of 50 2500+ units
- Product is non water / non air tight application
- No weld bead required therefore eliminating the possible interference with mating
Our process includes cutting blanks from coil, strip or sheet. The teeth are mechanically cut. Features such as vents, holes and notches are either punched by hard tooling or CNC. The product is formed by the means of arbors and closing dies in custom built hydraulic presses. Spot welds are added to the seam. Additional processes ensure that part meets agreed upon perpendicularity, parallelism, and ovality specifications.
