One of Wenthe-Davidson Engineering’s true strengths is our ability to take a piece of flat material and process that material into welded tubular products that rivals the same characteristics of drawn over mandrel (DOM) tubing. Our roll, weld and expand manufacturing process is suitable to fit the needs of many diverse products and markets. The following is just a partial list of benefits, requirements and specifications we can provide with this tuned process:
- Explosion proof applications
- Different diameters within the length of a single piece
- Ability to slightly alter the diameter without expensive new tooling requirements
- Washdown / water tight applications
- Ability to expand (size) the diameter to highly defined specifications
- Approximate diameters of 3” - 28” , lengths up to 34”
- Material thickness capabilities of 18ga to 0.250”
- Suitable process for both carbon and stainless materials
- Substantial overall cost savings when compared to DOM material
